High Potential Education is committed to helping families, teachers and schools navigate the world of gifted education and gifted learners. Although there is no set definition for giftedness, the National Association for Gifted Children defines giftedness as;
"Students, children, or youth who give evidence of high achievement capability in areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity, or in specific academic fields, and who need services and activities not ordinarily provided by the school in order to fully develop those capabilities."
Parents are the most important aspect of a gifted childs education. It is up to the parents to become the CEO of their childs education. They need to assemble a great team. The team includes, teachers, student, parents, outside enrichment, gifted consultants, etc. Anyone who ensures a proper education.
Most of the time, gifted students need to rely on a dedicated teachers, persistent parents, or innovative programs to ensure they are adequately challenged in their classroom.
